On my truck I just built new brackets that bolted straight to the floor and kept the correct height and angle for it to be comfortable for me, and just ditched the sliders. No one else needs to be able to drive your truck. Lol. Mine fit anyone from about 5'9" and taller though.

^ im only 5'3" - looks like i wont be driving seths truck anytime soon. lol

anyway, i did exactly what seth did in my yota. but obviously my seats are bolted a bit closer to the clutch!

yeah, im about 5'7 or 5'8 and its hard to get into my truck with the steering wheel being so close to the seat, and im really skinny

Yea I'm tall and fat so my seat is about 2" off the floor and back all the way.

On my bench seat the sliders unbolted from the seat frame. I just made some brackets that used the stock holes on the bottom of the bench, and on my floor. I will try to find pictures. If not I will go take some, I've been in and out of the garage all day anyhow.

yeah cause my seat is low as it is just cause the way the floor is shaped, its not flat and on the front 2 seat brackets, the right one sits higher than the left one, just like in an s10, its weird...im thinkin i could just chop the front 2 off and just leave the back 2 on....and that would lower the front down

Well just my luck, the pictures I have show everything but. I will go take some in a minute.

Your truck can't be any worse than this though.

5" between the wheel and the seat. It was tough to even get a soda can in there. The part of the seat you sit on was 14" off the floor. The seats where just ungodly tall for some reason. My brother who is 5'2" even said it was cramped, and was looking out the top of the windshield. But the owner is like 4 foot nothin' and he was looking right at the steering wheel.

I would advise against that. The back of the seat really needs to be lower than the front, so that it supports your legs and back better. The first brackets I made positioned my seat level. Little did I know how much I would feel it. I couldn't drive for more than 30 minutes without some bad back pain.
