help shaving door handles.

im gong to shave the handles on my 97 nissan.. ive already got fillers...my question is...do i trim up the fillers to fit in the handle hole or do i just let them over lap...if anyone had pics of shaving doorhandles on a nissan would help alot..thanks

do not over lap. cut them to fit flush. use a small magnet to help you hold it in place,while you start to weld.

thats what i thought..ive got some welding magnets ill work on them later...what do u put over them??i was gonna use rage gold....i hate bondo

i like that short strand bondo.resin jelly it is in a green can. it works good. but everyone has thier own preference.

rage gold is bondo just a little better there are so many prefrences but we use rage at our shop and it works fine ..

i have used it a couple of times i like it

put kitty hair over the welds first, then use your filler, then your glaze.

its a how to on shaving ... missing few steps , but basicly to give ya an idea....
alot of shops/people do it differently . so this is not law.... but should always be best to get the metal straight as possible before , bodyfilling ... and weld it solid with tacs..... if you do it like that... then theres no need to use kittyhair or any fiberglass fillers.. just skim some Rage gold over it and sand and primer....

when ever u start doin ur body work try not 2 use so much glaze its better 2 finish off with bondo then primer it glaze is like a sponge its absorbs 2 much after a while your paint will shrink then ul be able 2 see ur scatches

well rage and bondo are both body fillers there just brands. just incase he dont know dont want him to get confused
