Is there anyway i could rent/borrow your reamer?

Huge thanks for the info and pics by the way!!!!

Maybe... what do you plan on using the reamer for? It is only intended to create the final shape of the taper not to create the whole thing. When I made my inserts I used a lathe to get the taper close, then just used the reamer to get it the final size. I think if you just try using the reamer to get a piece of tubing to size it will destroy it.

If you need inserts, I would contact Devious, I believe they sell the inserts all ready to weld or press into your spindle.

good luck

My buddies machine shop is doing the work, but I thought rather then spend 100 bucks or more for a reamer i'd use one time, I could borrow or rent one from someone.

No big deal. Is there a way though you could check on the correct P.N. of the tie rod joints and ball joints you used? The pictures on Speedway look like yours, but Id like to be 100% sure before I order this weekend.

Thanks again

Do you have PayPal?
Are you planning on flipping just the lowers and tie rods? Or upper lowers and tie-rods?
I looked and can't find my receipt on the balljoint and there aren't any numbers on them either.I am 99.9% sure that those are what I got. To tell you the truth, it doesn't matter much anyway since you are making the tapered inserts to fit whatever ball joint you purchase. I purchased both reamers, but if I remember correctly, the upper and lower ball joint and the tie rod all have the same taper so I only used one reamer. I would be willing to send you both reamers if you would PayPal me the $80 ea +$10 to cover shipping and fees. Then when I receive them back I will just credit your account back $80 ea. Basically I just want a deposit to cover the replacement cost. If you want to check android-16 on EBay you can see my positive feedback (in other words I won't just keep you money unless you don't return the reamer(s) back to me.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

hahasorry for so many posts, it is early.

I have to look, but I may have a pair of these with the weld in rings (which you can also use for the swap, I just decided on the press in instead of the screw in) I will check it out after work and see if I still have them or not. I can let them go fairly inexpensively.

pnefab, when you flipped your uppers, did you have to do any spindle mods for control arm clearance or is there enuff room that it doesnt hit the spindle? in the pic it looks like it gets close but cant tell.
