No I didn't have to mod the spindle for BJ clearance. It is close though. I think you would have a tough time if you made custom arms with screw in type ball joints because the outer ring would probably hit.(see how little metal there is around the stock Ford ball-joint?) I am going to make new uppers and lowers (when I start working on it again) and I will probably use a bolt in upper ball joint to keep the BJ from hitting the spindle. I should note that with 20's. I did have to trim a bit off of the lower control arm to keep from hitting the rims. It's not much basically the lower lip and about 1/4" or so of the arm's sidewall towards the rear of the truck.

Man I need to start working on my poor truck againt

Oh BTW I do have the screw in ball joints and the weld in rings if you would like to use those for the swap.
The speedway part #'s are:
910-34816 (on the bag of the ring)
917-20036 (on the ball joint box)

decided to go with the moog joints like I see everyone else running. Is it a simple swap of the lower joints, or do they get welded in?

Moog joints? Moog is just a brand, what ball joints are they?
If you are talking about pressed the stock ball joint in upside down, don't!
Some guys did that a few years ago and the ball joint blew apart in a few months. The stock (or any brand replacement for the stock Ford ball joint) is not meant to take a load on it when mounted underneath the control arm.

Good luck

Yea, thanks.

They are moog K 7069 balljoints, like everyone I've searched online for is using.

the spindle flip was thought up when there wasn't a spindle for the 97-03 f150. How come you aren't just using the drop spindle?
