ive got 3 kids man- im gonna skool ya on this one! hahaha
its hard to take a kid to a show at any age if you dont have anything to occupy them.
if its a newborn / infant then go to cooler weather shows! as you know shows that are in humid nasty weather is hell on anyone much less a baby. make sure you dont have them out in the heat! and have a place that you can lay them down for multiple naps
toddlers arent so bad but remember they are at a very "independant" stage at this age... prepare to argue over everything! but they are a bit easier to tend-to. a stroller, a "play area", toys and a cool place to nap is a must! and remember at this age they are obsessed with kid videos!
when they get to be of school age its a bit easier and again just have something to occupy them (usually a portable dvd and some snacks!)
as much as us minitruckers hate to admit - kids dont give 2 shits about minitrucks, cars, etc once they get bored of it! (usually only takes about an hour!)
if you are having someone travel with you then make sure you have a hotel with a pool or play area. a girl that would rather be at the pool than the show isnt always a bad thing when things get a bit hectic with the kiddies!
just remember kids get bored, tired hot and cranky ALOT faster than we do!
