***SHEET METAL DASH***....Let's see em'

Shit, Teneessee is full of junk-ass old cars just rusting away in a feild....
I know an old dude that has a couple acres full of old shit....
He sold me a 57' bel-air dash,gauges and all the trim & acceseries for 50-bucks!...But I had to cut it out my self (that was a bitch!)

it's got a long way to go & it's had a few more things done to it, but here's a couple older pics of mine.

my question is, how do you get to stuff behind the dash? how do you remove it if its one big piece like that?

i have a bunch of removeable pieces for under the dash & the center console & i just used some moroso quarter turn fasteners. they look good & if there's ever any type of problem, even if you don't have any tools, you can use a dime or penny or something to open it up. also the whole thing is bolted in so it will all come out too.

64 Falcon we found at a junkyard while rounding up spare door latches about a month before the mini truckin' shoot lol. We had to cut it out ourselves but did score a sweet deal on it. And the plans are/were of course to flow it into some sheetmetal door panels as well - took about 3"s out of the center (basiclly just lost the factory ash tray lol)... with a lil more massaging it should turn out nice.-mike
