Ive been stopped a ton of times. A few years back I got a ticket for hydraulics. My truck was just lowered with a 3-4 drop at the time. Its amazing how dumb they are. that night I also got 4 other tickets. all the way down to an air freshener hangin from the rear view mirror. Its fucked up but what can you do. At least back then they didnt carry tasers.

Not to be an ass but if you unintentionally threw a spark a) you were way less than a foot off the ground. b) if I was a cop & a spark flew off your truck when i was behind u I would pull you over too, unintentional or not. There are so many vehicle laws that it is impossible to remember them all. We know them all too well because we are the ones who either disobey them or are careful when we build our trucks to sbide by them. If something seems sketchy to them they will write you a ticket & it is up to you to prove them wrong & it will get thrown out.

i agree , i was nice and he did let me off , it was up and the dip/pothole i hit was deep , im not blaming him for pullin me , iwoulda done the same, its jus all the other stuff he said he coulda cited me for was irritating me, plus keep un mind i have a perfect driving record for over ten years, i do abide by the laws as much as i no they have the rite to pull me or anyone its jus that i wish they had a better understanding of the laws they try to inforce

bummer. just gotta fight what they give. if you try and fight it there, it gets them angery. im glad mine arent too flashy. my toyota is a noisy little fucker, but its nothing that they would see as illegal. it is in some ways...lighting mostly, but yeah. bummer.

EVERYTIME I GET PULLED OVER THEY JUST WANN CHECK OUT MY SETUP. HAHA, THEY ASK A BUNCH OF QUESTIONS AND I LET ONE COP HIT MY SWITCHES. BUT I CANT PARK LAID OUT UNLESS ITS IN MY DRIVEWAY. THE PARKING ENFORCMENT HATES ME.

Iv been pulled over 54 times in exactly one year (yes i kept count), only issued 12 tickets since last february, and all were all dismissed except for two. I just always challenged the tickets and usually there is a way to get out of almost anything if you do some research.... needless to say, Farmers Insurance isn't too excited about the whole thing...

sounds like a bunch of you guys got off pretty easy in retrospect to what actually could have happened, so...

just remember this:

"THE FEET YOU STEP ON TODAY ARE CONNECTED TO THE ASS YOU KISS TOMORROW!"

i guess thats what im sayin is why do they pull over "us" and then gotta go thru all the b.s. jus to have it thrown out when there is so much goin on illegaly right in front of their face? i tried to be nice and discuss this with the officer that had pulled me the second time for bien to low and discuss the tru law and boy did he get pissed , i wasnt ever rude jus tried to ask a question and be enlightened to his perspective of the law so i would understand and he got pissed and threatned to take back the warning and give me the ticket , yes i spoke to his commanding offocer and it was resolved peacefully thankfully, and yes i was right , the commanding officer read me the lawfrom the s.c. highway vehicle code/law book and it stated that there is no hight requirement for a pickup truck except for the tag and headlights which im well within the law for, but there was no law that stated how low the actual truck could or had to be , sparks were illegal and hittin the switch while driving was to he was amazed himself when he read it 2

The best thing to do is just be nice, like you said you were. Most cops are cool with you as long as you are cool with them, at least around here. Not long ago, i got pulled over to riding to low, and i knew i was, but he was cool and was gonna cite me for tint and loud music, but i was cool with him and he let me go with only a riding low. And on another occasion, a GSP clocked me at 84, but dropped it to 74 to help me out. Me and him even joked for a little bit. It is all about respect, respect them, they will respect you. The worst thing to do is question them on the spot and make them look dumb. You may be right, but that just works them up to find more things to cite you for. I have had a run in with a few dickheads, and one even ended with my truck impounded, but luckily a girl i knew, he dad was a Lt. and the sheriffs dept. and got the tickets dropped. So you just have to deal with man, and just fight the ones you know you can win.
