The salt water that blows in from the atlantic down here in FL pits everything up real fast if your along the shorelines anywhere. I think theres also a place up in Chicago that does bumpers real well. Not sure the name of the place but if u can find a listing for chroming online in that area might be a start.

its S&H briteworks on myatt drive in nashville tennessee. the guy that owns it lives about 2 streets over from me. he's a real douche bag, his kids are hellions at my sons school and he's waaaaaaay overpriced. chrome masters in nashville does all the shit for the jerks off at OCC (yeah, i was shocked too!) anyway, AAA plating or advanced plating is your best bet on cost - but chromemasters is the best quality!
