Build a new control arm with uniballs, and drill the spindle out, or get an Adapter from BLF.

Hey seth, did you have to notch the frame at all to clear those bags? (also, what size are they?)

Did you keep the mounting point for the upper arm in the same spot or did you move it out (away from the engine)? Its kinda hard to tell from the pics.

No, theres plenty of room for the bag, which is an RE6. It could fit an RE7 with minor trimming. Also I mounted the bags a bit differently this time. They are still parallel when laid out, but the center of the bag is 3/8" closer to the frame on the bottom than it is to the top. This way it is at a better operating angle at ride height (notice it is straight).

The upper control arm mount is in the same place as stock. I measured it carefully. It may look farther away because of the way its made, and the fact that it is straight up and down rather than slightly angle like stock. But I made sure to keep the stock geometry. It works well as it is, it just needed to be cleaned up. Also the driver side UCA mount apparently tore off the frame at some point (along with the bag mount) and is now crooked. So I started with the straight side so that I can correct the side that broke.

I replaced the stock rag joint on the column at the firewall. It was binding up, and made it difficult to turn the steering wheel. There wasn't any direct replacement joints, so I bought a generic one made by Sweet Manufacturing and adapted it to the stock steering shaft. I made it bolt to the stock rag joint flange for easy installation and removal. Obviously I haven't redone the bag mounts on this side, but you can see how phucked they are. I really hate cutting and grinding, so I have been adressing the little issues lately.
