Man, stacks are a tough call, especially on a GASSER...but you're doing the Cummins so why not?
But just like psylent is saying...the truck is yours, do what makes YOU happy. We might tease you (or not) but in the end it doesn't mean shit if the truck makes you smile, because you're the one paying for it, working on it, driving it! Fuck what anyone else thinks.
When my buddy Tim was building his 88 C1500 stepside -> shortbed dually conversion truck, he was toying with the idea of stacks. OK it had a crazy cammed 502 big block in it...I told him dude, seriously, some big stacks at either far corner of the front of the bed, normal style, except cut them off right about the roof of the cab so they don't stick up. Then put weather caps on them! They'll just hang open going down the road under throttle, but at idle at a traffic light, I think it would assault so many senses that people wouldn't know whether to laugh, shit, or love it. Can you imagine the cacaphony of clinking that a cammed big block would make with a pair of weather-capped stacks?!
He never did it, so I might have to use the idea myself on a future project!
