I took all the strips and beveled the edges with the bench grinder so they sit flat in the bodyline. Then tacked them 6" apart, then between those, then again and ground them all down.

All the rides on the trailer this thing took and all the dragging i've done up the street and nothing has cracked. Even with no bed supports.

yeah this thing has been a bitch to make the 22's work, but I think the bed can be flared enough to clear the tires. I couldn't narrow the axle due to bag clearance issues with the tires.

With the front end there's no way I can run the stock hood. The tires stick 1 1/2" above the fenders. I think once I smooth and paint the firewall that the engine bay will look good enough that I won't have to worry about the hood too much.
