Whassup Rev?! Thanks for the pic man... I think I'm gonna give that a shot. Nervous but f**k it, if it gets too bad I gotta parts car ready haha. Did you have to cut the lip on your hood too? Oh and I haven't forgotten bout that 'chop I was gonna do for you... juss being lazy.

And everybody else saying I can get the fenders cheaper at a "trailer shop"... might be a dumb question but what's a trailer shop? Like for flatbeds or trailer parks or what? If I can get 'em half price that'll be a huge help but don't really know where to look.

Thanks again everybody.

Yea I had to cut the hood a little bit. Don't worry about that chop man you got work to do on your stuff!! haha. I have it pictured somewhere in my head anyways so itz all good. Do you have a TSC = Tractor Supply Company or Royal King farm supply store? Thats where to get fenders fairly reasonable. Sounds like suicidedoors.com is trying to rape somebody with those prices.
How tall is the tires your gonna run?

Trailor fenders that go on a trailor that you pull behind a truck. I got mine for around $15 each at a local place.

Not sure if I have those down here but thanks for the names... I'll try to look 'em up this weekend. Getting some parts back from coating in the morning so it's coming together...

As far as how tall of a tire? Like I said I'm not sure yet... I have 255/30/22s for the front now and 295s for the back. Think it works out to 28.1" in the front according to this height calculator I found online but haven't actually measured 'em. These are gonna be on there at first cuz I already have them but I may get some 20s in the front later, or all around... haven't really decided. I know it's not gonna lay all the way out with 'em, just wanna get as close as I can, and then hopefully be able to if I put 20s on later.

$15 a piece?!? Maaan I'm glad I asked lol...

Daaamn Robby... I watched that video on your profile like 15 times already, now I gotta fix the audio on this sh!tty a$$ laptop so I can hear it haha. Do you have any better pics of your engine bay or inside of your hood?...love the tilt hood btw. Lemme know if you have any close-up shots like the other one posted though. Those really help... thanks again Rev.

Yea, u can get trailer fenders fairly cheap at a trailer supply place. I just picked up some pretty big ones, that will cover a 33" radius and are 10" wide. I like the look of trailer fenders, makes it nice and clean. Only bad thing about doing them without your motor in,is u have to make sure you have enough clearance.

yeah I like the look too... I can't weld though so I was thinking I'd just relocate the stuff from the existing fenders, cut 'em out, drop the motor in... and then take the car with the trailer fenders to somebody that knows what they're doing to finish it off.

I thought about trying to do it with the engine out and mocking it up on the Caprice cuz it's the same motor and everything but figured I'd just clean it up under there and get it ready for somebody else to do. They shouldn't charge me too much to weld those in if I already have 'em and everything's ready right??

I also read somewhere (for fender size) to take your tire diameter and add 4" to it so you'd have 2" of clearance on either side of the tire... does that sound about right to y'all?

Thanks again for all the feedback. Wasn't sure I was gonna go through with it before but it's definate now...
