project: SUB THIS

jon at db rods and miniz in austin, tx. He's doing a lot of work for little more than the materials cost, so i'm not rushing him or anything. Hell, i brought it home in August, drove it 3 times, and realized how unsafe it was, so it sat in my driveway not moving, so at least i know it will eventually get worked on. i talked to him today, and he said unless a miracle happened, i would'nt have it before scrapin the coast in june, but i would definitely have it by all star event in september. But like i said, i'm not complaining, i figured since i spent so much time and money getting it there, it'd be stupid to have him do $300 or $400 worth of stuff, so it's getting full on done. Hot Rod Air kit, re 4 linked, bodydropped halfway thru the rockers, custom air tanks, new sheetmetal floor, etc, etc. So when i get it, all i have to do is drive it, and do the interior stuff (which i can do a piece at a time) and stereo. Hopefully when i get it back, it will look like this (except it will have the wheels that are on it now):

that will be a badass burb!

dude, jumbo thats the best lookin rendering ive seen of it yet. get it done exactly like that. i usually dont recommend black wheels, i always say go with chrome, but do black wheels with the chrome lip like the pic. that thing will look mean as fuck ridin down the road 1/2" off the ground. then not to mention ur big fuckin ass gettin out of it when u park. badass!!!

theres a resin based model burb of ours for 50$ but i dont know if im willing to spend 50 bucks on something i might fuck up... ill holla at him about a rendering ive got my graphic picked out

thanks (used to be)fatass. Yeah, bige, i saw it, i'm in the same boat, i don't want to try to shave door handles on a $50 model and end up slicing it in half, and that does'nt even include wheels, axles, or a motor or anything like that. scary how good some people are.

yea thats true 50 bucks for a model is a bt much i meen if the body was 20 id see ripping it apart and droping it over say a dub city model but 50 bucks nah im good

so heres some updates of whats going on.. i now need either two more fans or a total of 4 electric 15" FANS as while i was in the beginging of the line @ danger zone just turning it on and off was not enough to keep it from over heating. it boiled over and evaperated alot of the water/antifreeze. i blew a a brand new 245-35-20 tire on the way back home while locked up completly. so i need some stuff done and ive gotta check the water pump now too cause i yanked the thermostat as it was brand new and fucked up already before the show..its going back to the shop on the 21st for some work thats a lil unexpected trust me it will drop some panties and some jaws.. but after that ill have to do some work engine wise for sure.. probably also get the seats lowered cause anybody who seen me rolling this big bitch knows i was practically hanging out of her

not much of an update, i started building a center console, its in the shop having the seats lowered back down as my 6'3 tall body dosnt have much room with a 3" traditional body drop with the seats made for a midget. there literally another 3 inches from the floor. also working on getting the rear floor redone with a differant look and more clearance for wheels. swtchs kustoms here in porterville will also be doing some more work. i also ordered some leds for my gauges for my gauges and shit. i have yet to work on the wiring issue draining my battery. picked up a ididit chrome column also. gonna take the flame wheel out the jimmy and install it in the burban. i ripped out the door panels & dash for them already. got some tricks up my sleeve still. however thought id update yall. here is the basic frame so far on the console.
