1970 toyota hilux - yay or nay?

so who thinks this would be cooler as a daily? mine already has MR2 buckets, 4runner console, tinted lights, H4s, lowered, tint, stereo, ect. the basics. i could swap the seats and stereo to the other one though, and keep the headlights for my other truck. i dunno. based on my profile pics, what do you think my trucks worth? 2000ish? or more?

79+ is torsion bars, yes. The pre 78 stuff is dime a dozen out here.

i dont see a whole lot of them in the yards.

for 200 bucks i think youd be crazy not to buy it..no matter what u end up doing with it

get it and put the whole 79+ frame under it, then u got many options, including shoeing in the 20 r motor too! Im looking at options on my 79 long bed thinking a tacoma engine!

look into it, my 77 has a 20R from the factory, I thought the 20R started like 74 or 75 in the US?

so if some had 20rs on that frame. and those are bolt in interchangeable with the 22r. and those are replaceable with 7Ms. theoretically wouldnt a 7M be a motor mount wise, bolt in swap? and i dont plan to bag it, and not having torsions on the tranny crossmember would allow me to section it for clearance without issues. hmmm....


show me some pictures. old ass stuff or currents. come on. BTW, might have to bodydrop it on a static just since its torn down. haha.

so i checked it out for an hour or so after work tonight, and spent like half an hour sifting through boxes of NOS parts.

pros:
brand new lights for all the markers/blinkers and tail light assemblies.
brand new door handles
found the old back glass, and windshield.
bench seat, door panels, carb, tune up stuff, front bumper, nearly every nut and bolt you need for a truck, tank straps, ect for it.
the nose and doors are straight, and the bed isnt too bad.
extra tail gate.
suspension looks to be in really good shape.

the cons:
interior is completely gutted out, including the wiring harness of the truck.
i cant find the door glass.
i dont know where any of the heater box stuff is.
windshield is broken, and about 250 in parts for a new one with seal.
the bed needs some body work.
it has a goofy ass semi-recessed marker light on both sides of the tailgate, the back of the bed, the b pillar on the cab, the front of the fenders side and has what looks like a trailer fender light on top the fender. thats factory.
the word TOYOTA in big ass embossed letters on the tailgate.
external latch tailgate.
gas tank isnt installed.
engine is disassembled on the intake and exhaust systems.
