Hello everybody I have been working on these arms for the 98+ rangers now for some time. I have really been working with the guys on RPS to see what they wanted out of them design wise. This is what i have come up with so far. They are tacked together right now with a mig but they will be fully tig welded once complete. The arms are also jig built with machined balljoint housings. i still have to make the bag plates but wanted to post a pic of the frameing first, i am also working on incorperating shock mounts into the lower arms.

the uppers are adjustable and i am going to add some plate gussets to them for looks and added strength. I was origionaly going to make the frame bushings the adjustable part but the RPS guys seemed to want to see them this way. I am also working on offering them with upper uniballs as well.

Right now I am just looking for comments good or bad so what do you guys think?

Thanks for the support everybody!

UPDATE: CHECK PAGE 2 FOR NEW UPPER PICS

I think they look good! I believe the uppers would be smoother lookin if they was adjustable at the frame mounts. Maybe you could offer both designs.

i also had a member on RPS photoshop this idea i think it looks better my self. yes 2 adjustable ends would look best i think but im more less going by what the majority rules on maybe ill try and make a set with the 2 bushings adjustable.

here is the photoshopped pic he did

I'd go a little longer on the tubing for the uppers so that the tube is centered on the bushing, unless there's a reason you can't? Just makes it look off as soon as you look at it.
The one with the gussets is definitely beefier looking though which is good.
Lowers look pretty sick. Any shots of anything fully TIG'd up?

i agree with joel. make the center tube mounts centered on it.

That lower looks just like the ones we make. Same concept on the balljoint and everything. Nice work....

yea he does have a nice arm as well. the main differance is that i built mine with the bend in the tube at the spring pocket on the stock arms i just wanted to make sure i can fit a 2600 bag on there and not have to have it hanging off the arm at all. im not sure if hes does or not. but yes it is similar.

i took the measurements off of the balljoint and sent the cad files to chris at unusual fabrication to machine the prototype balljoint mounts, and they came out great.

I also thought about putting a second bend in the rear tube for extra clearance but those arms with within the stock arms. so i guess im going to have to just finnish them up and put them on my ranger and test the turning clearances.

Joel, yes i agree with you on the uppers the only reason i havent rebuilt them more centered yet is because i used the last of the DOM i had on my buddys yota front end, so i need to pick up some more.

the main reason i didnt go to the balljoint mount with the tubing is because i know my djm arms rub on the wheels with the fwd rims on it and wanted more clearance. but yea im gona try to get everyting finnished up and get the final pics. I am really just trying to get feed back before i finalize anything. i also need to get a cad drawing finnished for the uniball studs as well. thanks for you comments everybody i appreciate them.

I have transmission crossmembers in the works for these rangers as well.

ok here are the first pics of the upper that i posted on rps. i changed from this design to the one posted above so i could add some gusseting. and this is why i made them adjustable where they are and not at the bushings. but ill get some more DOM and see how the other way looks as well.
