how heavy is your windshield, Most windows dont weigh more than 35lbs....if 35lbs of force is going to collapse the window posts, along with the inners, I'd be incredibly supprised.

I'd say the force of the wind pushing on it while you're driving adds to it.

I capped where it was cut at the roof line with sheet metal did the same on the pillar itself very strong and clean.

Deuce my roadster is not reinforced. It is pretty solid. I have used it to pull myself out of the driver's seat.

same here

i think he's asking if you brace it when you cut it off so that the windshield doesnt "fall back" under is own weight... when i roadstered my old yota we braced the entire inside of the cab and also the pillars. we also marked it in various numerous spots to make sure nothig "sagged" then we reinforced the pillars before capping them and also reinforced the pillar (is that called a pillar?) between the door and back of cab wall. when the windshield post were open we ran some thick wall steel down the pillar , behind the dash and to the floor. (sort of a hidden rollcage) we also drilled holes in the pillar so that we could make contact welds along the pillar to the thick wall post that was now inside the post rather than just welding the top and bottom this way it was attached from point a-z and a few in between. then we cut the spot weld from the temporary cage supports and it was pretty much a done deal. ive heard of windshield folding back and crackin the glass, but mainly in large cars rather than a little mini. hope that helped...
