Windshield cutting

How do you cut a windshield? I want to cut the roof off my taurus and chop the windshield down some, but no one around here will do it... any ideas?

Won't that crack the hell out of the glass? What about finishing off the top of the glass that will be exposed?

im pretty sure you gonna find a glass cutter, probably an automotive glass company. please dont use a sawzall lol

its not easy, its not regular glass i dont know how but ive heard bad stories. try talk to a good hot rod shop most glass people wont know.

A plasma cutter will cut your windshield it takes a little but of time but you'll get it cut.

no plasma cutter! no sawzall! take it to a dude that can cut it! like mark says - it will take a few tries to get it cut. my old 83 yota was roadstered before it the whole truck got fukt up! there are a few peeps on here that can contest to the bullshit i went through getting it cut. typically the first break that happens wont be charged as a cut. but these guys will charge you even if it breaks! its laminated glass! totally diff than cutting a mirror for your bathroom or some shit! here is a name of a guy that will cut it for you! hes an old-timer that has done many many lead sleads! his name is mike hall. hes in kentucky. he will pick up the glass local, get it cut (probably during the cource of several attempts) and ship it to you cut and ready to go. pm me and ill give you the number. hes an old timer so i dont wanna blaze his number out here!
