hey max, i just thought i would run the question past you as to how you would personally going about this. i dont know if you could tie both rear ends together, or they would need to be separate? what gives?

oh and lets say both ways, both get power, and only the front regular one gets power.

im not a fabricator by anymeans but a guy in our club has a tandem acle and his extra axle is just a trailor axle that is tied into his suspension. I know Aaron iha's tandem dually has some sort of conecting driveshaft or something as they are all drive wheels.some suspension pics can be found here: http://www.sunsetsd.com/Nicks.htm

I have seen rearends modified so that there is a drive flange sticking out of the back of the housing which is driven off of the pinion gear. It wouldn't be too hard for a talented fab/machine guy to do.

what would you do to go about bagging them? Would you want them tied together or would you want them both on their own suspension?

They should be kept mostly isolated from each other. If each axle had its own 4-link with one facing forward and facing back (I know, I know, but this is one time a reverse 4-link is tollerable) it should work fine. I would run a decent sized air line between both left and both right bags (seperately so that you still have side to side, but not individual control over each axle) or scheme a way to run one bag to both axles. It will be easier to control and ride nicer.

id imagine you cold run parallel links too right? with a watts or panhard. i swear ive seen one on a tandem axle. just throwing that out there to rid of the reverse link.

Truck runs, drives and TOWS perfectly. 2 Parallel four links with diagnal panhard bar. Bags on top of both axles. As far as the air system, Both axles are tied together but each bag runs its own separate valve to rid of sway. Driveshafts must run cv's (telescoping) so they do not bind on eachother or the rear ends. I can supply you the transfer case we used.
