get a unit out of a tacoma from a slavage yard it all fits behind the dash

what he said^^^. I will have stock AC in my 3.5" trad body dropped taco on 20s. lot of cutting and just tweaking stuff. Where the tranny tunnel meets the firewall I flattend it to get rid of the hump in the middle. also cut the shit out of the blower box for the tub and recessed some small spots for some parts of the setup. really its just a matter of how much you want ac...I figured a couple of weeks of just trying to get it to fit was worth cold air blowing in the cab without spending $800+ for the vintage stuff....

ya'll 2 have any pictures of how its setup? is it under the hood or under the dash like in full size ck1500s? or just like the s10 ac setup?

I used heat shield on the firewall and hush mat though the rest of my truck and the temp went down a ton. Used to be almost unbearable in the summer but now its great. I'd seal the truck up first and use some heatshield, seems like it would be cheaper to. If its still to hot then go with the aftermarket AC.

since you have your cigratte lighter working go buy one of them fans that plugs into it and bam you have air
