The 22r trans will have a mechanical speedometer drive where your 93 22re will have an electronicly driven speedo. Changing the rear seal is pretty easy, just break out the service manual and look it up. There should be some pix to help you out too if you're lucky. Does your truck still have the 2 link in the rear? If so the excessive driveshaft plunge is probably whats killing your seal. The cost of having the driveshaft shortened and rebalanced would probably be equal or greater than half the cost of a 4 link for the rear. Food for thought anyways...
