Maybe the advantage to whoever owns this truck is that nobody else has done it so he figured he'd try it. One of the advantages that I see is that he could set it up so he had zero camber though the entire range of travel. Preformance wise it sucks but I doubt that hes going to take it up Pikes Peak anytime soon or go rally racing with it, lol.

Agreed!! I was just wondering about the setup. Not particulary because it is a Dodge. I was more interested because I like to understand what i'm looking at. I've never seen anything like that and wanted some info on it. Thanks for the input guys.

i think he jigging up his front end.....why would anyone lay out 26's on a straight axle.

That is a lot of work for set-up. I think he's going for it, but will soon abandon the idea.

Making the steering work is quite possible, off-road trucks have been using straight axle front ends for years, but they are by no stretch desireable compared to even a 4wd I-beam set up, let alone a A-arm system.

I see this kind of poorly thought out work trying to make some sort of magical cure, all of the time. I hate to tell the person that they are waisting their time, but to me it's like going back to having a horse pull your car around cause you can't fit the motor under the hood any more...
