what are you guys taking your frames down to bare metal, without scaring up the metal? I was gonna take my frame to a guy that sandblasts, but at first he was all for it. I called him today to verify a time for me to deliver it, and he said he would "try" to get it worked in. I'm just down want to leave my frame with a stranger over 2 days for something thats gonna take a couple of hours to do. I'd rather spend money on crap to do it myself, than to lose a frame that has a few thousand dollars invested in it. What should i do?

Already bought one, it don't spray a big enough pattern to do the job. Its good for small parts though. Thanks anyway for your help.

get a regular sandblaster with a 1/4" tip. works good for doing that. might take a while, but its nicer when you did it yourself. plus, you can be easy or tough where you want.

Id just take it to him, if its a legit business it sounds like hes just busy. I spent 3 days sanding on my frame and i would rather pay a couple hundred to have it done in hours.

Wire wheels on a grinder does pretty good....not the quickest but it works. It's not as messy as stripper...

Bro.. Take the time and do it yourself.. A rough sanding wheel on a grinder will work on the straight parts and the sand blaster you have will get the corners and holes you can get into.. What look you going for.. I mean you just tring to get the grease and dirt off of it so you can paint it or you looking to smooth all the holes out and then paint it... I mean if your just looking to clean it up then just get all the dirt and grease off of it and ruff up the rest and put some fresh paint on it..
