Hey guys, I have decided to go tandem on my rebuild and haven't ever seen one up close so I want to see some pics of the setup so I have an idea what I am going to be working with. Going with the late 70's axles so I can get some clearance for my wheels. I would like both axles to be functional but I don't know how to go about that or if its even possible. just don't want to have something look shitty in the end. Also, what kind of air setup would be best for me to put on them? I want as much lift as possible so I was thinking bags on bars with a forward 4 link for the front and a reverse for the back. I would link them together but I am not so sure about that. also thinking of a bellcrank type setup for them. Its a full frame so I am wondering what will look the best and get great lift without horrible ride, I can deal with almost anything as long as it rides better than an over axle setup. any and all pics will help. Mabye after this thing is done I will inspire some to follow in my steps and bring back some old school style rides. any suggestions on what I can do to make my setup look cool or perform better?

Look at the pics on that profile... Truck belongs to Shannon Bullis. 302 tandem (both driven). He can probably head you in the right direction. Send him an IM. Probably be a few days before he can respond cause he is on a trip right now. Hope this helps.

Jareth, I assume your truck is a short box now, to save you some trouble down the road, build your tandem bed using a long bed box,you want have to stretch the bed just the wheel openings, that is if your only doing two axles.
You can make it look like both axles drive without spending a ton of money on getting someone to engineer you an out drive on your hoggshead.

Somtimes people don't feel like lookin through 2500 post or are unsure of what to type into the search engine, but now that he knows this it may help him to find more info on it.
