and fyi the ss is so close to an lt in terms of body and suspension its not even funny. i chose to go lt because most of the ss package would have gone in the trash anyways lol

The Air Lift Easy Street kit almost gets the car just as low and is pre engineered for the car, which means it takes the guess work out, has the correct mounting points which is essential on a new car especially when it comes to ride quality and performance.... there kit is 2654.41 complete that means no trips to the hardware store and less install time... like they say time is money

I DID AN 05 SS WITH AIR STRUTS IN THE FRONT AND SLAMS IN THE REAR I JUST USED THE FACTORY SPRING CUPS DRILLED TO FIT AND RAN THE SAME VALVING AND WIRING AS I DO ON MY TRUCKS... 3/8 SMCS AND 1/2 INCH AIR LINE... THE AIR STRUTS IN THE FRONT ARE GOOD AND LAY HARD.. I HAD TO HAVE THEM SPECIAL BUILT THO AND I WOUND UP BREAKING THE ENTIRE FRONT DRIVER SPINDLE CLEAN OFF AND SCRAPED THE PROJECT Originally posted by WhyNotFab

How are you going to say the struts are "good and lay hard" and "breaking the entire front driver spindle" in the same paragraph? Did the strut cause your spindle to break or was it another cause? I don't want to seem like an ass but I am looking at using their universal Mac struts but don't want to destroy a new car.

I'm about to bag an HHR and from what I gather, they have the same exact suspension as the Cobalt. For those of you that have bagged your Cobalts, did the exhaust being so close to the rear bag cause any problems? I'm sure I'll be making most of the parts because the Airlift kits I've seen on the SoCal HHR's don't take it very low and the price of the rear kit alone is just outrageous...I know that paying for the R&D makes sense...but almost $700 for 2 sleeve bags, a couple plates and some fittings seems absurd.

Pics please?
