Best/simplest way to lay frame with a B2200 on 18s??

I'm getting contradicting answers from my brotherin in my club. Some are saying don't do spindles cause it pushes the hub out a 3/4 inch. Some are saying do lowered control arms. It would be nice if I could pull it off with the stock stuff. What do you guys think? Any info would help? I know Isuzu's, not Mazda's.

just flip your balljoints, not the best way to do it but it works just fine.

flip the balljoints and that will let u lay on a 225-40-18

Do I have to notch the lower control arms so that they will clear the frame?

uhhh drop spindles... that 3/4" if it really does do that won't hurt anything.. you pretty much have to go with fwd offset wheels anyways if your looking to lay quick and easy

3/4 of an inch is an extra 16mm offset....

its not so much the push out though, its the lack of camber. You will have to raise the truck all the way up to turn every corner because the wheels/tires will be on the fender. Plus you have to trim the upper arms or the arm will hit the spindle and limit lift.

I had spindles, I took them off and will never use them ever again.

^^^i have the same problem now with the 20s and drop spindles... ive been thinking about taking them off

Sponge, my Mazda is layed out on a 225/35/18, stock spindles, the lower arm is stock, just trimmed a bit to clear the frame and flipped balljoint, and the upper was piecut. The piecut might not be necessary though, but that's how Doug at StreetIssueCustoms set it up. Plus, I like the look of the insane camber when layed out. It all evens up by the time it gets to ride height.

I keep posting this picture so I'm sure people are sick of seeing it, but I'd like to think its helpful. I did one with flipped ball joints and stock everything. All the component start to bind at the same point, but I was able to make it lay on a 225/45/17 tire, which is about the size of a 40 series 18.

Hey Seth. I know that being out of toyotas and under a Mazda is a little out of your element, like I am not under a Zu, butI cant tell in that pic, but is the upper ball joint aqlso mounted on the top of the upper control arm?
