I know that the bearing stack-height is a little taller on the Toyotas, but the wheel bearings on a Toyota and a Nissan are the same part numbers, A-3 and and A-5. So I don't understand why a few of you are having problems. The only thing that I have ever done is to shorten the castle nut accordingly and use a crossover seal that I found to work well. I speculate that I am using a different seal than those of you who are having problems, but I don't know for sure.

SHIFTBOY- That's a great idea, but I'm afraid that 3mm is about .118 inch, not quite a quarter inch, but I'm sure quite helpfull in this circumstance and I'll forgive you this time.

the bearings are the same, but the hub being thicker, pushes the front of the yota hub out. there are tons of guys over the years that had problems, they all used the federal seal, just as the guy who had the truck before me and did the 5 lug.. i am not machined with 8k miles, no problems.

I know this is a shot in the dark but hey max would you mind giving us part numbers for your things you use. I have the bearings already the question is more pointed at this secret crossover seal?

I will have to dig it out of my secret hiding spot, but I have posted it on here somewhere.

i talked with a few guys at nissancustoms and the all say to have the spindel macined down closed to the spindel and us the stock barings and seals for a toyota this lets the hub set all the way up a gen the spindel, look at some of there threads nissancustoms.com

i'm thefabshack on NC.. so you've been in my thread about the 5 lug. it is my opinion on how it should be done, i like things to fit factory. i know max hasnt had any problems with the 240 seal he has used, but i just like that piece of mind, and i think that is mainly cause i had mine break on me down the highway

so far doing the spindels seems to be the bets a safest way,it may cost but in the long run it will be cheeper i think,
