I bought a truck that already had a fuel cell, external pump and a external regulator about 4 months ago and now im trying to get it running. ITs a 2000 Ranger and they had it hooked up as a return system but I can't figure out how they had it setup. Its a aeromotive regulator with two inlets and one outlet all which have cut hoses on them so they were using all three. I got my fuel lines ran to and from the rail but now i don't know where to put this regulator?? Do i just Tee it after the fuel filter and before the line and put a check valve after the filter and plug up the extra inlet? I need help! :

I honestly have no idea, but try calling the manufacturer?

One inlet is from the fuel pump, The other is from the return side of the rail, and the outlet is to the inlet side of the rail. I am about 99.9% sure this is correct.

but the 2000 ranger is a returnless system, where would the return from the rail be??

so if your suggestion is correct (but im still confused where the return is - im engine dumb sorry) i would go

Fuel Cell -> Fuel Pump -> One way check valve -> Fuel line to engine compartment -> Fuel Filter -> One inlet on Regulator -> From regulator outlet to fuel rail -> Return from rail to second regulator inlet. ?? lets hope so.

google

As per JBhill on RPS:

Fuel Pressure 441(63.9)+/-55(7.9) kPa
Engine Running/Key On Engine Off 441(63.9 psi)+/-55(7.9) kPa

Hook up FPR, hook up fuel pressure gauge, tweak regulator till fuel pressure is 63.9. Drive and enjoy.

you MAYBE can run a rail off of a 97 down 3.0 and convert it to return system.

i guess im being confusing, do i have the right idea? i know how to setup the regulation just not the order it goes in - unless what i just stated is correct. Also there is a line right below the inlet line on the rail right below the ERG valve anybody know if that is part of the fuel system?

just buy a stock pump assembly and drop it in the cell. done.
