if you need no return wouldn't it be simplest just to replace the regulator with one for a returnless system. i have one that looks similar on the shelf in my shop with just one inlet and one outlet and a gauge.
maybe you could just plug the return port on the regulator?
or if the tank has a return line, you can get regulators that return excess fuel to the tank through the regulator and have one line going to the engine. thats how i thought all return-style regulators were set up but i don't really know that much about them. only don't research on whats needed to change everything in my truck over to carb
