I have been thinking of making one myself but I was going to use two ext. cab and split the doors as discussed so i had the extra roof lenght to mend the roof together and the metal to go between the doors so they aren't butteds to each other but rather have 6 inches between them and then it would have room behind the second row seating for a system and storage I already have one cab I am just waiting on my bonus from work so I can get a ext cab truck to use I found one already that blown up but I can't afford it until I get my bonus since i'm broke.

My buddy here in Washington owns a shipping container business too. He has only gotten them out of Japan though. He said it shouldn't be a problem to get a container from Austrailia but he would need a contact there........Also, like others have said, it costs about $40,000 to have a full container sent over so a bunch of people would have to be willing to throw down some cash to get the ball rolling.

when i was in australia recently, the guys from living low customs said they could fill up a container full of quad cabs, including toyota, mazda, nissan, or mits. but it would only be worth to export them if somebody was willing to buy a whole container full of complete cabs. otherwise the cost is too steep. but a whole container full wouldnt be a problem. They said the same thing with dashes. they can send right hand drive dashes to the states no problem if somebody would buy an entire shipping container full.

Mat the president of No Regrets New Zealand actually owns a shipping container company. He told me that building an entire truck for me and shipping it wouldnt be a problem. Ive considered it in the past but i currently have too many projects to take on a quad cab right now. but at least i know its possible, so the future is looking bright.

Its much easier to make one. B series cabs are so plentiful in wrecking yards these days. the only hard part with the cab is the rear door windows. But you can find a square curved rear door glass from some other import that could be used in a B series door. The window regulator in the B series is easy to move anywhere on the door.

There are no other challenges to making one if you are a fabricator.
