i took a piece of stainless pipe and stainless plate, tig welded it together for looks, made an adapter plate so i still had my maf sensor and put on a k&n filter

hm thats a good idea do you have any pics of this?

na sorry bro...and i dont even have my truck at my house right now to take pix...its pretty easy tho...get the filler get a piece of pipe that fits inside the rubber neck of it and use a large hose clamp to attach it the just take a piece of flat plate and trace the shape of your maf sensor part of the factory intake, cut it out and then trace your pipe on it and cut the hole, weld it up and use the maf part to mark your holes for the bolts to go through, bolt it up, attach it back to the factory intake tube and make a bracket to hold up the filter...tada done...should only take like 30 minutes...use stainless or aluminum for looks and no rust
