the truck looks sick...

however... why go thru the work of building a full frame to just run a 2-link.

Yes I know... everyone says they are fine and dandy and theirs has lasted forever...

but why not run a nice proper 4-link? why run a 2-link after all that work into the frame? to save a couple $'s? at that point is it that much more $'s for a 4-link?

I just can't fathom the reasoning behind running a 2-link after all that?

im not trying to turn this thread into a shit show either... just trying to figure out why people run 2-links with a full frame build?

2 links with a panhard bar, thats all you need, I.F. sells crap loads of them, so does Extensive. I had that on my blue chevy, never no problems.. Loved it.

There is NOTHING WRONG WITH A 2 LINK!!! Rocky built a 2-link on my 2003 Tacoma and it is drivin all of the time with no issue or problems. The truck holds up EXCELLENT and has never given me any trouble. Amazing job Rocky...I knew it would look awesome.

he built a fuking BRAND NEW truck laid out harder that a teenage pecker!

whos gives a flying shit how many "links" it has!

who in "their right mind" would even think of a laid out daycare 15 passenger van? - maybe a crazy who gives-a-shit-what-you-think kinda guy!

i didnt make this thread for bitching, moaning and critisizing! i did it for the guy who had the pocket book, balls, time, effort, and creativity to build this bad ass bitch! now give him the respect he deserves and stop picking it apart...

NOW- back to the topic! sik ass truck!

2 links arent about saving money. 2 links have a lot of advantages to a 4 link. some people jsut have never seen a proper 2 link or rode in one will never know.

truck looks sick as hell rocky. glad i got to see it at the show.

list me off how a 2-link is superior to a 4-link. why is it better than a 2-link?

Im sorry... maybe its just me, but if im going thru the effort and spending the money to build a bad ass ride, im going to have some proper suspension under it.

And as the first person in this thread said, there is some insane math and engineering involved in laying this out?...im confused.

Pretty much anyone could go bag a new whatever vehicle out there... just need the funds really. My point in this thread is not to bash 2-links cause we all know thats a never ending shit storm. Its more of a 'why run a 2-link after building a full frame?' Most people run 2-links on their trucks that are using stock frames and want to clear their gas tank or something.. . with a full frame build you are pretty much free to put stuff where you wish... so there is really no reason to have a 2-link... run a 4-link.

It confuses the shit outta me.

And as for so many people running 2-links... does it make it better? if everyone is jumping out of a 50 story building would you?

I think the truck is bad ass... pretty fuckin rad to see a quad cab like that laid the fuck out.

why with every two link i see, it uses u-bolts? do you have to use those or can you weld on link tabs? just wondering

the axle needs to be solid on the link bars. if it can pivot like your thinking j-dog it wont work. Sweet truck
