on a 99 taco i want to turn thelower straight arm into a lower control arm and get rid of the part that keeps the arm from going bak and forth( sorry cant think of the name of it right now)i cant find the pics of it

Same as stock, without the adjustability. I don't know about the Tacos though, they have a different system.

when triagulating ur pivot points should be the same. correct me if im wrong.

Yeah the pivots need to be on the same plane. Otherwise your arms will bind. But thats just common sense right? I have a jig set up to do them, and it works really well. I've put over 8K miles on mine so far.

yeah thats what i figured. common sense. but....ive seen pix with triangulated arms that didnt have the same pivot points and it made me wince.(sp)

It eliminates the strut bars that go towards the front of the frame. The strut bars act as a 2nd pivot/ attachement area that keeps the lca from moving forwards or backwards.

and strut bars often become clearance issues with the steering. and maybe ride height clearance. plus, they're ugly. and they might cause a bit more of a toe in when airing out. but, that might depend on the setup.
