ya just go buy a new handle. take off your door panel drill otu the rivets holding the handle on. pop in the new one and pur in new rivets. its a typical gm issue when the handled get old and worn out. my tahoe did the same thing.

90% OF THE TIME I SEE THIS IS BECOUSE THE DOOR HINGE PIN BUSHINS ARE WORN OUT CAUSING THE DOOR TO SAG ALITTLE...THIS PUTS THE DOOR IN A BIND AND YOU PUT EXTRA FORCE ON THE INSIDE HANDLE AS YOU ARE TRYING TO OPEN IT CAUSING THE HANDLE TO BEND....IF YOU LOOK AT YOUR INSIDE HANDLE AND IT IS NOT GOING COMPLETLY BACK TO REST ON THE RUBBER STOP, REPLACE THE INSIDE HANDLE AND LOOK AT YOUR DOOR BUSHINGS, I CAN QUARANTY THAT THEY WILL BE WORN.
