if you use your frame as your tank the inside aire volume is spread out more, even though you might have 5 gallons it is spread out more compared to a 5 gallon air TANK you air volume is more concentrated does that matter when lifting your truck up and down ??

bro, go to ORLANDO PIPE on taft/vineland, and ask them for..

SCH 40 WELD A LETS, You can get them with threads on them also, i have made many AIR cavities for compressed air at work. I use SCH 80 8" pipe with one 8" WELD CAP on one end, and a 8" Thread a let on one side .. all welded and x-ray'd and will last forever, but i would use sch 40 it's much lighter.. they sell all sizes of weld a lets, weld caps thread caps and the pipe. in round or square tube. I am using 3/4 sch 40 thread a lets on my boys C10 Frame we are building for the valves and such.. later!!

MY QUESTION IS IF YOUR FRAME IS YOUR AIR TANK AND YOUR USING COMPRESSED AIR THAT CREATES MOISTURE IS IT POSSIBLE FOR THE FRAME TO RUST FROM THE INSIDE OUT OR WOULD YOU USE WATER TRAPS IN FRONT OF YOUR COMPRESSORS BEFORE THEY WENT IN THE FRAME?

you should always use some type of filter/trap everything just lasts longer.

if ur going to build a tank from a square tube i would first treat the metal with anti corrosion additive and use some por 15 to coat it in and out, u can use rollers up to 2"'s with extension on it to get inside, then u should use water separators, in and out the system always use a larger orifice and then bush down example 3/4 to 1/2 reducing bush should be good.. and install a drain plug underneath to be able to check for moisture after a few yrs which will be very minimal.. and it should be fine..i build tanks for a/c chemical treatment water, and we paint the inside of the tank with an epoxy based hardener thats for commercial use then we weld it out straight with whatever ports needed for final installation.
