ok motor heads, here's my latest problem with "the curse". My truck refuses to start, so I call my neighbor and we take a look at it and notice the fuel pump's not priming when I turn the key. so we check the fuse under the hood, its fine so I bite the bullet and buy a new fuel pump. We put it on tonight and guess what. . .still won't start and u still can't here the fuel pump come on when you turn the key and the main fuse is fine. what the hell could it be?

Look at the grounds in the rear of the truck. More so if you did work back there. The one at the rear drivers frame rail where the wire loom terminates. Also check the lights in the rear. Had a s-10 blazer that did the exact same thing and it turned out to be a shorted bulb in the license plate light! Gotta love 'em Chevys!

When you take back the fuel pump buy a whole bag of grounds,, they are cheap, and you never know when your gonna need one!

CHANGED IT AND T STARTED RIGHT UP !! BAD THING WAS MARK HAD SECTIONED MY GASTANK UNDER THE BURBAN SO I COULDNT RETURN THE NEW FUELPUMP CUASE I HAD TO CUT IT UP TO FIT THE SECTION TANK ~! Check the Relays,
If it were an issue in the Distributer it would be the control module or pickup coil...One would send a signal to the controller for FI. Then this sends the pulse to the injectors...
In your case this is not the issue because you have no pressure at the rail!

Check your relays and your grounds.
Also were you just driving and this happned?
Was the truck sitting and wouldn't start?
Did you weld on the truck and then it wouldn't start?
What year and model GM truck do you have?

We need more info

Hey I'm having trouble with me '95 Tahoe starting, too. I can tell it's nothing bettery or alternator related. When I turn the key to start it will start up but takes a little longer than normal and when I hit the gas it's been real sluggish lately like it just doesn't wanna go. What could this be. I know it's a bad explanation but that's the best I could do.
