my next prj will be a 64 c10 bagged mabe bodydrop...but have not really look under the truck....should i work with the stock frame and susp or what ever is under there or get a newer style front clip? if not how are these bagged cups or brackets ...also is there any x members that will be a major pain in the ass ...and anyone got pics of one just bagged not bodied...pics of front bags please...rear i know has the stock arm setup with springs so cups should work right or will they not compress to lay on say 22's

The body sits lower than the frame on a 64. It will be easy all you have to do is z the front or section the front cross member, and notch the rear. should be bodydropped by just doing these things, you probably want to 4-link the rear. I got a 64 burb same chasis, once I notch the back bigger and section my front crossmember I'll be laying body.

Aside from my dislike for the suspension on those trucks, your job should be pretty easy. I have seen so many different ways to bag them so take your pics how you want to do it. The rear truck arm will work fine as long as you aren't looking for the ultimate suspension, if so then you should look at a 4-link. Otherwise just Z-it, bag it and enjoy it.

DO WORK !!!!!!!!! ..... Love these trucks, have a 62 in the drive way right now and a 68. All i really know that would be most difficult is "z"ing the frame and its basically Bd'ed. Do it how you want it though for sure and you'll enjoy it

but on bagging the front the cheaper way...does it use cups or brackets...

It uses cups or a flat plate bolted to the upper spring pocket. I prefer the cups. The best part is a gm truck crossmember and the whole suspension all the way up through the square body style (87 trucks- 91 suburban) will bolt right in. Only one hole to drill on each side. Then you got disc brakes and all modern bushings etc. Check out my profile there are a few pics of mine. In the front its got drop spindles and its z'ed 3 inches. Power steering conversion on em is a breeze also.

is yours body dropped

and what do you mean the newer susp will bolt in ...arms and stuff with stock clip?

No body drop, z'd and notched only. You can unbolt the crossmember with all the suspension attached from a squarebody, do the same to your 64, roll the old one out and roll the new one under it and it will bolt right up to the stock frame with the exception of one hole on either side. You can swap it all out in a day easy. Only issues would be steering linkages(tie rods, drag link, etc...) size differences but you just gotta see what you got. Company's like CPP sells tie rod sleeves to match it all up. I did raise the tranny member the same as the z but I don't think you have to. I raised the whole drivetrain 3 inches but that was personal choice.
