Was This Ever Made?

Was there ever a 1948-1953 quad cab chevy truck built by any conversion companies or builders? I grew up loving this matchbox car and now my girlfriend said I could build her '52 as a 4 door if I want. She said do it since I can't ever leave stuff looking stock. I'm trying to find out any info for rear doors. I can make fronts work in the rear but what about glass? I want square windows not angled in the rear.

Lookin to do somethin like this... but rear doors actually looking like rear doors, not extra front doors. Can the new glass that eliminates the butterfly/quarter glass be cut down or anything?

I have seen one of the crew cabs made before. They used a COE cab and suburban rear doors.If you are interested my dad has a cab and front cap that he was looking to sell a while back, I can ask if he is still wanting to sell. Also the glass is a flat panel so it would be easy to eliminate the wing windows.

yes there were some crew cabs, believe it or not, and they were made specifically for railroad companies, but good luck on finding one, a body shop i worked at made one into an x-cab, and it wasnt terribly difficult,

Robbie. Does your dad have a COE? I'm gonna be building a regular truck as a quad cab.

This is what I'm looking to do....bagged dually. Now I just need some help coming up with a plan of attack. This pic I found on some forum and was said to have been taken in Kansas City. Anybody seen it before?

I realize its not the same but those pics made me think of this truck, this thing is sweet.

There was a green bagged one at the Hot Rod Power Tour this year at the kick-off, I cant remember if it was a four door or just an ex. cab but you might look for coverage from that. I think it had a "stylemaster" emblem on it.Hope this helps
