who has purchases a gallon of "bondo" fiberglass resin?

I need to know how many tubes of hardner should come with a gallon size "bondo" brand fiberglass resin.I usually do not use anything bondo, but i was desperate today. Basically the manager of O'reilly accused me of trying to steal a extra tube of hardner. I have already contacted cusomer service, but I need to make CERTAIN that i was entitled to 2 tubes before I make a complete ass of myself. Oh, I tried calling bondo, but their offices were closed. I will call them back in the morning.He did not take the second tube out until AFTER accepting my payment...so I may go an swear a warrant for his arrest tomorrow...that was stealing the way i see it.

I do purchasing for an autobody distributer and purchase directly from Bondo (now 3M)

You only get one 2.75 - 4 oz tube of hardener per gallon of filler.

Oops I should have read more carefully.

It was fiberglass resin? So you are talking about liquid hardeners? If that is the case, the Dynatron poly resin,there are 2 large tubes packaged in the top of the gallon.

Or four small ones, I can't remember since they come already under the cap and we hardly pop the cap off to check.

yes..it was FG polyester resin

and the $2.00 tube of MEKP liquid hardner is not the point. It is how I was treated. I left the store with one tube. Got about 3 lights away and it really brewed on me, so I went back to the store to just get a refund. He THEN sniffed the can, OPENED it, and said he couldnt refund it because it had been opened..that was when i decided I could no longer deal with the store.
Which bring me to another question...Does anyone know what sort of "SEAL" a gallon of resin has on the cap?
I will get all these answers in the morning...but I am pretty pissed an want to know now.

nah dude I aint wastin' resin...

I talked to a rep for 3M today..he confirmed I should have gotten tubes and told me where its written on the label. ( On front it states 44ml. provided each tube is 22ml.) He was pissed about the incedent and wanted to call the store. I told him that was fine. He spoke witht he store manager...who's response was " if he can show me that I will give him another tube" ..

I am not going back to that store for anything..they WILL make this right. but like I said..I am goin to deal with anyone at the store level. I am going to give the district manager a little more time, if it isnt resolved I am going to have the manager arrested. I am sure they would have done the same if I walked in and took a tube of harnder, right?

I am gunna hurt guy alot worse than drenching him with resin...but if it come to that..I will mix it with like 10 tubes so it hardens up on him cartoon style.

You can sue the shit out of them for deffimation of character. No shit! Wal Mart got sued for millions for accusing a man for stealing when he indeed did not. If you can get him to admit it and you have witnesses that's dollars. I own a business and if that happened to me in my town I would be humiliated to get accused of steeling 2 dollars worth of hardener.

I own a body shop and buy it by the case and it comes with 2 tubes.

I don't care if I had to pay the lawyer up front 10k I would ream out some ass and make them pay for embarrassing me like that!

I'd hate to say it, but I wouldn't waste anymore time on this. Life is too short and full of far too many stupid people to waste the effort.

Just write a few letters to get it off of your chest and move on. I would not support that location or any other branch unless corporate makes it right.

I am not familar with the "WalMart case" but I am sure there were other factors.
Was anyone else in the store that heard him accuse you?
Do you have a way to contact them?
Would they be willing to go to court? etc.

That is just my 2 cents though.
