Do they bind when laid out or lifted all the way? Excess stress can fatigue them to the point of failure.

I didn't realize they were in a bind, but it looks like that may be the problem?

how can I fix somthing like that

Changing the angle of the balljoint will help. Pie cut the arm.

dude this jus happened to my s10 yesterday, i'd jus got back from drivin it to wal mart an backed n the garage an dropped the front nearly all the way down an heard a poppin noise, lifted it back up an didn't really see anything so i laid it out an the wheel was about a half inch from the motor, i'm puttin the barely legal bolt-in uniballs on mine when i can afford it....

I broke both uppers on my old taco. After the 2nd one we remounted the ball joints on top of the upper arm instead of inside it and used a piece of the old balljoint as a spacer for the stock location. If that makes any sense. Never had problems again.

A tacoma on stock uppers with 20s will bind the hell out of the ball joint. Ask Oliver Porter, his broke too when he went from 18s to 19s. Need to either build new uppers or re-angle the factory ie pie cut or rebuild balljoint mounts. Good luck

a buddy of mine had 18's on his taco and after he bagged it he had a big problem with snapping his ball joints, i forgot what he did to fix it though. I'll find out tomorrow and let you know. I know he snapped like 3 or 4 in a few months

I think he has adjustable arms from AIM(?). Let us know what you find out.
