Shane did you plug the line at the bed or in the engine compartment? If so in the engine compartment there is no way for it to run like crap unless something else is wrong also. Yes the service engine light will come on but that in its self will not malfunction the fuel injection. With all the trucks that we have bagged in the last 5 years none have left with the fuel canister.

It depends on the fuel system. S10s with a single injector and 6 fuel tapits I know for a fact run with out the charcoal canister until you have a second issue with the odb2 then you get a check engine light and it will goes closed loop. Ive only seen 4 cyles have issues with the canister delete. But im in california and it wont pass smog inspection with out it.

My suggestion was to disconnect it to trouble shoot the issue. Its not a means to an end.
