To this point, we have got 77K into the shop, including the paint booth. This sound like a lot, but there is really not a cheaper way to go about it here. In gwinnett county you cannot just put up a steel building in a neighborhood and meet code. The building has to match the house. We had to take out a bunch of trees (3k), some grading (2k), we had the basic strucutre put up with no wireing, lighting, no compressor room (25k). Then theres all the costs of the wiring, lighting, heat and ac, floor coating (1k), retaining walls we built, material for the cabinents we built, theres a bunch of costs you would not even imagine.
Although, this shop is built a little bit different that most "shops" are. It is insulated and drywalled (gotta keep it quite for the neigbors) which also helps keep the dust down. And our shop as many ammenities you may not need where you are.
