The cost of the bearing is directly related to the quality.
I typically pay $40 for a 3/4" heim with out a bung or jamb nut, but that is for a JMX (high) grade bearing. They are a 3 piece design that are very tough when loaded from any direction. But recently I ordered a 2 piece heim that cost $20 and was only really designed to be loaded radialy. The strength was still plenty high enough to do what I needed, but the use of the part did not place the heim in an axial load, so the extra cost of the 3 piece heim was not needed.
Again, there is a time and a place for everything, the trick is knowing when and where to use what part.
