why not just make another idler arm assembly, and use a couple more bushings with a bellcrank and weld it on the passenger side of the steering coloum. Not sure if this make sense in words but I got it in my head. That way the drop down is all in the idler arm and you wont have a weak point, Like max pointed out.

Why not switch the booster out to a 7" booster and move the booster mounting point closer to the windshield. That would help in the elevation change so it wouldn't have to be so much of a bend.
