Thanks.

Heres some updated pictures of it the owner sent me.

And here is before he painted the stripe, and after he got the size tires the suspension was built for.

i dont like the hood at all on that truck. dont get me wrong, im not saying you didnt do a good job on it, but i just dont like it. i see where u tried to make it flow with the truck but i find it just doesnt. but if u like it bro, rock it! no need to have a 5 page vote on it if you like it

Its not mine, so I don't have to like it. Neither do you.

I'm still mixed on it, but the owner likes it a lot. I liked it best in bare metal.

ur right, i dont. u asked for opinions...i gave u mine. if u just wanted to hear from people that liked it you shoulda wrote that in the title. no need to get pissy bro, i think u do great work

Im not pissed off. I'm glad some people dont like it, and arent afraid to say they dont like it. If everyone kissed my ass and said it was perfect this wouldnt be any fun, and I wouldnt do it different next time.

The only thing I got annoyed with was hearing the same suggestion over and over and over again.

That said, I wish he would have sprung for the extra work to make a stock hood fit. Because in comparison to a stock hood, I think it sucks.

how much more could it have been to keep the stock hood? i cant imagine it not being worth the small cost to keep the hood and lines of an old truck like that intact

It would have needed a custom header made, a modded oil pan, clearanced framerails, a custom low profile valve cover, and the clutch slave would have to be relocated with a cantilever of some sort.

It all added up to a lot more than the hood did, and the owner was broke by the end of the build.

So not exactly a small cost.

I also couldnt afford the time right then, because I had already pushed back another project when he added the bodydrop. And he really wanted it back. I got 3 calls a week for the last 5 weeks I had this thing. I could hardly handle that.

yea i hear ya but i would have yanked the hood and waited for the time and money rather than compromise but as long as hes happy thats all that matters
