Im having trouble with mainly the front on my civic. Ive got it layed pretty good but it needs to be lower if anyone has any suggestions it would gladly be appreciated

You need to notch the top of the strut towers. You will find that the upper control arm is hitting the top of the tower causing you to bottom out with almost an inch left of travel. Get underneath and mark where the arm sits, cut a hole out to allow it to lift through. Drop the front and make sure it fits well, if so, grab some spare and make a "tub" cover for it to keep the bay clean.

Thats the problem its not even laying out that low I dont know what the problem is???

Your problem are that generally cans are too large and the control arm gets caught on it when swinging upward. If you are looking to go lower without some serious fabrication you may want to consider changing to hydraulics.

Nah I work on hydraulics all day long with pressures exceeding 2000psi I cant stand seeing that crap at home sorry air is the only way to go

The arms shouldn't be hanging up on the cans, I know mine didnt. I've got the same body style Civic he has, and the suspension is the same between the hatch, coupe and sedan.

If you need to see what's causing the interference, get a floor jack, put the car on stands, take the fender off, take the wheel off, air out the front, uses the floor jack on the lca to act as the "ground" and watch to see where it bottoms out.

Your tires could be resting on the fenderwells, there's too many variables without seeing it.

When I first installed cans/cylinders on my 97 Eclipse the front didnt lay out either. I had to do 2 things to get it to lay...first I had the front/lower mounts cut down & redrilled, then I cut out out a section of the upper front strut tower cause the upper control arm was hitting it.

It should be the upper control arm hitting first. So cut that out and then make sure the tire isn't rubbing.
You can also trim 1/2 inch off of the top of the wishbone to gain a little drop and then make new upper mounts that are a little more compact to get some more drop.

I know all of this but what the main issue is with the tire off and everything the control arm isnt even hitting yet there is still a gap and I dont understand why??? Im just stumped
