id have to go with car. yes, there have been unibody (sheetmetal) trucks, like the NL320 and a few rare early 60s fords. but, they had full frames. and were based on other pickup trucks. these are until the back of the doors, exactly the same as the car they are based on. underneath, pretty much the same going rear too. they just have a weird body that turns into a bed.

ive seen a geo metro get cut to have a bed portion in the back. does that turn it into a truck? or a geo with a cargo area?

is a denali still a truck? it doesnt have a bed on it, and mainly just hauls people. so does that make it a minivan? or a sedan?

I say Neither! To me its the mullet of automobiles, business in the front party in the back!

yes a denali is a truck. its on a truck chassis and the government classifies it as a truck, same as a suburban, tahoe, expedition etc etc etc all trucks.

The elco and rancho are also classified as trucks but car based. it depends on whos asking who.

I thought you were talking about the Sierra Denali for a second, like durr ofcourse it's a pickup! They are SUVs though, which are a classification of trucks IMO although people like to argue that.
