i just noticed... why are the handles cut out in a few? quicker to take handle out w/o going thru the inside & since you're not reusing the panel anyway...

The one I posted I cut the handle out to get a slidehammer on the inner reinforcement to jerk the door open. That thing was jammed pretty tight.

In my pics the Civic door was just supposed to be a door skin but it was damged good and I wanted to check the intrusion beam for damage. The Pt's Liftgate wouldnt open cause the latch was damaged. My new boss isnt cool with us doing our own stuff at work, but back when I worked at a Mazda/BMW dealer I did my bed there no problem.

Alot of times we cut the handle out along with the skin, so you can see if anything else in the door is damaged, without tearing the whole door apart. i think most of the shops in this area are flat rate, but our shop give us percentages was at 45% but since things are so tight now they made everyone 40%. The shop I work at is huge, they say we have to do 450,000 before there is profit. Aint cuttin it right now tho. We do have a couple bad ass spot welders tho Pro-spot PR10, and a car o liner cr500

Sometimes the door mechanism is fubar or in a jam and thats the quickest way to open the door.

Im a painter, and I spray Sikkens right now, mostly production shop, I spray around 6-10 cars a day, I dont usually have anything that sticks around too long.

But in my personal shop, Ive got a 04 Jetta, 01 Mustang, 02/03/05 Honda Civics, that are all write offs that Im in the middle of fixing.

I use a fastrack at my shop, but have no booth, so I either use my day jobs booth, or I rent one from a shop a few blocks from my place.
