I deffinatly feel where your comming from man dont get me wrong..
We, as a whole (minitruckers) need to be reminded to step it up and aspire to a higher level of quality..
Your truck is super clean b.t.w.
I'm just saying: I've taken pics for mag and online mag submission (show coverage and feature) some times its a serious pain to make a so-so truck look presentable, as the photo-taker you want to take the best angles, maybe hiding an imperfection here or there, and make the truck look its best, but some times there is just so much you can do,
AND some times you have to take things "with a gain of salt" Would you rather see a mag full of trailer queens, or full of bad ass trucks that are the real deal-- rock chips, wadded up roll pans and all?

to me the only reason a truck should be in perfect condition is because it just rolled out for its maden vayage.. from there on out, its gonna have a little road rash- they were built to be driven.

Any which way you look at it MT mag (or any others) are not here to try to fool us into thinking there is a perfect world out there, but they are there to document what we are all out there really doing with our trucks.. We (as a group) just got cought with our "gaps" hanging out.. hhahahaaa

My gaps are lined up fairly good, and my paint and body was fairly good. But its the simple fact that I drive my truck. When I drive it 400 miles to a show its bound to get some dents, chips, etc....

One thing I know for sure, is the caliber of trucks has increased over the years, but with that comes higher standards, so its bound to irritate some when stuff isnt perfect.

I know I can personally walk around a show and see a paintjob with imperfections in it, and I often wonder why they didnt fix them before paint.

But hell, Im the laziest guy at the show. I rarely even clean my truck before a show, because Im too excited to get out there and see what everyone else has brought, and see people I havent seen in a while.

from a body mans stand point, it gets irritatiing they didnt take the extra 5 seconds to double check the panel b4 it was tightened down.my truck was drug to fucking hell, yet my bed didnt sag or my gaps go wrong on my fenders. i know lots of things arnt perfect, but there is a fine line between, its as good as it gets and i dont care.

Exactly!! Thats why I posted this in this forum. If you have a factory panel it doesnt take but 5-10 minutes to get it lined up nicely. Even with POS taiwan parts if you take the time you can get them decent.

If the trucks in primer I don't think its a big deal. As not everyones a body guy and can manipulate the sheetmetal like other people. However, if it's a cover truck then there is no excuse. I too saw the dent on the rocker....but it's not just with MT. I've seen a truck on the cover with the front bumper way off....not just a little. I mean way off....matter of fact everytime i've seen a picture of the truck the bumpers been way off. It's a factory bumper so IDK.

im no where close to bein a body man but i agree 100% taking that 5-10 seconds extra to make sure its right really pays of in the end...hell my truck doesn't even run and i realign the fenders and hood ever time i take them off

I know the cover truck with the messed up bumper big was referring to, and they put a shot from that angle on the cover. I saw that truck in person and it was lined up perfect when the truck was lifted, but when it was dumped out it rested the bumper and squashed those stupid plastic s10 bumper caps out, I just drug the valance on my ranger until it sat nice and flat!!

and if you do get taiwan panels and the holes dont quite line up, a spur bit in a die griner will sure eat that hole out(lol) and u can make it fit
