If your realy wanting to go old school, get some balls and get something old... In my opinion....and hello people it is an opinion. theres just about nothing more pathetic than taking something new and trying to make it look "old" Not going to personalize this and pick out some of the pics of rides posted but good lord you have to step back and say wtf were they thinking on soem of them.

i think they all look good. whos to say they make them look old? they just look good to me.

Sorry no pics but I do have some comments on the subject. I think that alot of people think that because the old timers didn't have money that they built pieces of shit, which is not the case. They didn't have money so they did what they could to customize and make there cars faster than everyone else with the intention of building a nice car, not just a piece of shit. Thats what kills me about the "old school" or "rat rod" look. Most, but not all, of them find the biggest piece of shit and slap some wheels, motor, and seats in them and there "old school", "rat rod", or "traditional" now. I can tell you that from my grandfather and my fathers pictures that not what they looked like at all. I say that if you want to build something old them do it. Its hard to blend the roundness of the newer vehicles to the squareness of the older vehicles and make it look right. And just because you slap on some smoothies and whitewalls doesn't make it old school. You can slap some billets on the Yellow Isuzu and not its modern. To me thats not old school. I am not against older vehicles, I have a 1953 Chevy 210 which I plan on starting soon.

It sure does seem like every time someone gets on here and asks anything,,there has to be someone putting that particular style down!! Whats up with that?? If you dont like it ,,,keep walking! There are fifty s-10s down the row with twenties to thirties stuffed under them! BUT...dont get on here and put someones hard work down!! People dont put pics on a site to be brought down!!99% of them (us) are as proud as they can be with their work. So why try and bring them down from their automotive high with your comments?? To me it doesnt matter how much $$$ you have in your ride,,if you feel the urge to post it up,,go ahead,,i bet someone will love it!!! I have around a thousand in my 720,,and wont have much more in it when i "finish" it? Can i not post pics of it on here because it didnt cost as much as one of your wheels?? Well,,im finished wearing a hole in my soapbox,,and taking over your thread bigbody!! So,,when i post up my pics,,if you dont like as you said "cheap" trucks,,just skip my thread!! Agian i apologize!!

i am down with "nisrod" and i love the style you are talking about bigbody buick that is the same look i am going for in my isuzu i dig the old school bomber pin up girls and 30's hot rods so why not do what you have your heart in who gives a shit if we dont have 22's or 24's on a mini and his wheels cost more than our trucks some of us actually like a half decent ride and the comfort of knowing if we hit a pot hole our entire rim isnt gonna fall apart....... support the old school rides and lay down a little flat.......

Well here is mine... 3 different looks in a matter of weeks!

Now here is my new rod... If you think anything about my rods is cheap because they are traditional, you can kiss my ass. I just love the traditional style look.
