last night i noticed that the fluid for my rear pumps was low, i topped it off, and it was fine, raise and lowered fine. This morning i went to raise it up, hit the front up it was fine, then the back and nothing... i could hear the pump motors spinning, but the car didnt raise. I poppped the trunk, looked to make sure there wasnt oil spraying anywhere, and there wasnt. i went back into the car, dropped the front, lifted it, then hit the switch for the back and it lifted fine???? could it be the gears for the motor getting worn out? nothing smells burnt or anything... im lost....

sounds to me if it didnt raise at all that it must have been really low and had an air pocket,,this can happen sometimes when your fluid gets real low it will suck in air,,once the pump builds pressure back up it will lift fine,,,only other thing i can think of would be if your dup switch was stuck open,,but usually if this hppens it will raise a tad and fall back down. www.myspace.com/illicitcustoms

ok thanks man, that makes me feel a little better. air pocket sounds a LOT better then a fucked up pump head. I just wasnt sure, ive only had juice for about 6 months so i havent encountered many problems to know what they are or how to fix them as of yet. thanks again.

Only thing is you need to check and see where the fluid went. It's a closed system so it shouldn't get that low unless it's leaking.

thats what makes me wonder, i park in my garage every night, and i park in the same spot at work. and theres a LITTLE spot in the garage, maybe the size of a quarter. but other than that, nothing.....

How do you make the text really big so everyone sees it??

CHECK VALVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CHECK VALVE OR THE KEY BETWEEN THE MOTOR AND PUMP HEAD

the checkvalve would def do this but the car would still try to raise then drop he said it didnt do anything but spin,,,then it raised fine the next time just fine,, that tells me that the fluid got really low and just had to build up pressure again to rasie the car,,,yea i have broke a couple gear couplings in some high voltage setups i have done but once that happens it dont raise anymore this car raised fine now if i read it right,,, and if it got that low you deff have a leak,,one way to tell is raise the car up then use a floor jack and jack the car up the cylnder with a bad seal will usually leak out real bad,,,the good seals will hold the wheel in the same position and wont drop,,thats just somethin i have noticed in the past when you jack one up to replace seals,,im guessing you run accululators and driving everyday really works on the seals,,,i have had the most luck from prohopper competition cylnders

Using accumulators you get some oil "squeegee" and you'll lose a very small amount, and over a long period of time it will reach the point where your pump will require a light fill.

Also, living out in AZ with the heat it thins out the oil viscosity so at times it hiccups the pressure. Sometimes a good idea to run a little thicker stuff in the summer...I don't since I'm lazy, but can't hurt.
